I am a Music teacher, a Canadian in Bahrain, here with husband (also an educator) and 16 year old daughter. She's worried she will fail her IB diploma. Our son is in his 2nd year of university in canada. Thankfully, he's now with my husband's sister. I have watched my husband's thinking morph into accepting we need to stay home. He and I are still working online. The big question is for how long. And then what?

And then what, indeed! This would all be so much easier, if we had some idea of how long we'd be trapped inside. I keep trying to remind myself how lucky I am to be safe and healthy, that finding our way forward when this is over could usher in the loving solidarity the global community so desperately needs. Those are my most effective coping mechanisms thus far. Also, Donna Summer and chocolate.

I still am able to go to work (for now!) but I found a live cam website and have been watching feed from a senior dog sanctuary that has been a balm to my soul. https://explore.org/livecams/old-friends-senior-dog-sanctuary/senior-dog-gathering-room (The puppy cam is also absolutely adorable.) Be well.
