I just finished 1979 and 1989, a pair of books by Val McDermid about a journalist in the UK during those years. She is, in the words of a review "an aspiring investigative journalist, as she navigates the sexism and challenges of working in a male-dominated newsroom in 1979 Glasgow." They were good.
EDIT: It's a 7 min read lol
Never thought I’d feel bad for a cockroach !
I laughed when Gregory thought of them as “the codependent couple.”
P.S. Neurotribes, by Steve Silberman. It’s fantastic.
Thank you, Ken!!
This made me crazy sad. And Gregory is exactly what I would name a cockroach for some reason
Anthropomorphizing a cockroach. Interesting exercise Lauren. Can't decide how it makes me feel. Hmmmmm.
Anyway, what am I reading? Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore.
Reading Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis ! LOL! I love this short story you wrote!!! MORE MORE MORE!!! :)
Love this piece! Exciting to read something different from your pen, you are undoubtedly a talented writer, keep trying new things.
Well, that was odd.
