This piece is great, a ramble through tarot’s history and meaning, framed by your own life-experiences. Loved it.

Tarot, for me, is simultaneously exhilarating and disruptive. I’ve often considered the Fool to be a personification of Kierkegaard’s believer confronting the leap of faith, and the essential paradox at the heart of … well, everything.

Thank you, Elizabeth! I love that interpretation. The Fool is still following me around, so perhaps it's a Kierkegaard rabbit hole this week. (Maybe also the zero spotlighting as the ø in Soren lol.)

I usually read with the Thoth deck, but I also have the Modern Witch Tarot as a delightfully diverse RWS variant for people who get freaked out by the Thoth deck. (Not a Thelemite, I hasten to add; but I do like the art.)

Ooh, I've gotta check out the Modern Witch Tarot! I'm embarrassed to admit I got rid of my Thoth deck because it freaked me out ahaha, but I do dig the art, and The Fool is quite a trip.

I spent a solid decade going nowhere near any tarot at all because my initial encounter just reading about Crowley freaked me right the hell out, so I totally get it!

Ahah okay, relatable! Also, my first tarot interaction was in high school when a woman in the East Village told me I was going to die at 27?! Although, to be fair, that was how old I was for my first psychedelic ego death lol
